昨日の研究室セミナーの論文紹介の担当は四年生の渡邊さんで,紹介した論文は Niloufer G Irani et al. Fluorescent castasterone reveals BRI1 signaling from the plasma membrane. Nat. Chem. Biol. 8(6), 583-589 (2012) でした.蛍光標識カスタステロンを用いたブラシノステロイド受容体 BRI1 シグナル伝達機構のエンドサイトーシスとの関連性についての論文です.
研究室セミナーは今日で一旦終了して夏休みに入り,9 月から実験の進捗報告,10 月から文献紹介を再開予定です.

農学部オープンキャンパス&今週の輪読
今日は農学部のオープンキャンパスが開催されました.例年は非常に暑いことが多いのですが,今年はこの時期にしては非常に涼しく,幸い雨も降らなかったので,非常に過ごしやすくて良かったです.全体では 600 名以上の来場者があり,かなり盛況だったようですが,生物制御化学研究室の見学に来ていただいた方は多くても 20 名といったところでした.生物制御化学研究室は研究棟の一階にあり,周りには機械室とか電気室とか共通機器室しかないので,あまり見学してくれる人が多くないのです.長谷川はここ数年はオープンキャンパス全体の行事の係をすることが多く,あまり研究室公開の方に関与していなかったのですが,今年は全体の役割がなかったので,NMR や MS などの説明を担当しました.また,長谷川の大学時代の同級生が高校二年生の娘さんと一緒に見学に来てくれました.

Insect eggs can enhance wound response in plants: a study system of tomato Solanum lycopersicum L. and Helicoverpa zea Boddie. PLoS ONE 7: e37420 でした.タバコスズメガの産卵がトマトの傷害抵抗性を増強するという内容の論文です.
