研究室旅行 & 9/12〜14 の輪読

9/15（金）には生物制御化学研究室と化学生態学研究室合同で稲敷市のこもれび森のイバライド（旧ポティロンの森）へ日帰り旅行に行きました．イバライドでは芝滑り，キャンドル作り，バーベキュー，動物への餌やりやふれあい，ゴーカート，ロングジップスライドなどで一日遊びました．

停電，8/28 〜 9/1 の輪読

9/2（土）は年に一度の電気設備点検のための停電がありました．停電の時には常時稼働している NMR や質量分析計などを停止しなければいけません．今回は停止ついでに LC/MS/MS のメンテナンスも実施しました．停電後の再起動も特に問題なく，各機器とも週明けから順調に使えているようです．

いわき秀英高校模擬授業，大学院入試，今週の輪読

8/21 は長谷川は福島県いわき市にあるいわき秀英高校で「はじめての農薬学」というタイトルで模擬授業を実施しました．いわき秀英高校は常磐線泉駅から徒歩で 20 分ぐらいのところにある私立高校ですが，校舎が立派なビルでびっくりしました．教室には Apple TV に接続された電子黒板が用意されていて，iPad Pro を AirPlay ミラーリングで接続してプレゼンテーションができるようになっていました．大学では，未だに VGA ケーブルでプロジェクタに接続しているので，羨ましい限りです．

8/26 には茨城大学大学院農学研究科の入学試験が実施されました．今年度から大学院入試にも推薦入試が導入されて，推薦入試の方は 5 月に行われました．こちらは一般入試です．

夏休み & 8/7〜18 の輪読

しばらく前から大学のカリキュラムでは授業回数（15 回 + 試験 1 回）の確保が重要視されてきています．さらに最近，それに加えてクォーター制という一年を 4 分割するシステムが導入されました．こういった関係で夏休みを従来より短くするしかなくなり，今年度から茨城大学では 8/12〜9/20 が夏季休業期間です．研究室は概ね通常通り営業中ですが，8/11〜16 の間は全学一斉休業でしたので，研究室もお休みでした．
